Goggle Lens - What is VLT ?

Visible Light Transmission (VLT) rating defines how much light a lens allows to pass through and ranges between 0% and 100%. Lenses with low VLT (closer to 0%) block out more light, while lenses with higher VLT (closer to 100%) allow more light to pass through. So higher the VLT the better visibility in low light conditions.

  • 0-20% VLT - BRIGHT LIGHT (SUNNY)
  • 21-54% VLT - VARIABLE LIGHT (CLOUDY)
  • 55-100% VLT - LOW LIGHT (NIGHT)
